Phaeton and the Electro-Magnetic Universe.

Phaeton was the Son of the Apollo, and was full of the ignorant arrogance of youth. Phaethon, against the wizened advice of his father, took the Chariot of Sun, and, careening out of control, plummeted towards the Earth.  Zeus, in all his just wisdom hurled a lightening bolt towards Phaeton and destroyed him in order to save the planet and the humans within it.
There are occult traditions which view Phaeton as the asteroid belt. Within the theory of planetary resonance ratios, there SHOULD be a planet between Jupiter and Mars, instead we have an asteroid belt. Something the ancients, pre-telescope, could not have known about. It is a matter of scientific fact that Jupiter and Saturn protect the Earth by roping into their orbits larger objects which could careen into the inner planets. There are some compelling modern theories that gravity is not the cause of virtually anything outside of our planet (and may not exist at all), as all manifestations of energy are in fact various frequencies upon the Electro-magnetic spectrum.
The many Moons of Jupiter and Saturn may very well be shrapnel from a destroyed planet, Phaeton, whose destructive impact was prevented from injuring the Earth by the electro-magnetic pull of Jupiter, or rather, the Thunder-bolts of Zeus. Were the ancients privy to a divine knowledge and wisdom granted them directly from the heavens which they laced into their mythologies?
Of course they were. Now we use the reflected light of the Sun to catalog the thousands of bits of space dust left over from his son's tragic joy-ride and use their synchronistic naming as an element of further astrological depth and meaning, which seems silly, but continues to work. All astrology works. We live in a magical universe, plain and simple.
