The Harmonious Equilibrium of the Sea-Goat's Swim Through Frozen Waters

A close up of one of the incredible Astro-charts of Robin Armstrong.

One of the incredible experiences I've had by following along with every degree of the Zodiac this year has been tuning in far more deeply to the stars, and where they actually are, as opposed to abstract orbs of energy we place within a chart with predetermined meanings.  For instance; the constellation of Capricorn is contained entirely within the sign of Aquarius.  Not a single star of the Sea-Goat touches the Zodiacal sign of Capricorn any longer.  I firmly believe that the stars themselves have their own energy and consciousness which they transmit to Earth which we can interface with, however, the Constellations are something different entirely.  The constellations shift and change in meaning through time and around the globe.  The Constellations are a cultural influence.  They are seen as such only from the Earth, in other solar systems they simply don't exist in the same form.
The constellations absolutely do have the power to affect our charts and generate changes in the energy of the planets moving through them, but this energy can change as it is a function of the collective consciousness of humans on Earth.  As such, Capricorn still has within it the significations of the Zodiacal sign of Capricorn, because humans still believe that it does.   Our myths and tales are placed in the stars.  The constellations no longer drift and shift naturally with the turning of the ages in the minds of men through the oral tradition, but have been fixed in the cement of the written word.
What fascinates me here is what this implies about the balance which is always being struck within the very framework of astrology.  Aquarius always had the significations of excluding rules which no longer serve humanity as part of its concept long before Uranus got tagged onto it.  Capricorn clings to tradition and established order, while Aquarius tries to create new orders.  Both are functions of Saturn; Saturn the Black, and Saturn the White.  Astrology itself always finds a way to turn towards balance when the scales get tipped too far in one direction between the Yin and the Yang.  When Uranus was grafted onto Aquarius as its modern ruler, it shifted the scales of Aquarius too far into the concept of upturning old orders to the point of chaos.
Uranus serves to stir the pot, but to conceptualize the dawn of an entirely new Age founded upon the destabilizing energy of Uranus is chaotic and unsustainable.  Whether you believe it has truly begun or not, the very concept of it in the common consciousness will have an effect upon the society at large.  We need Saturn to stabilize that which will ultimately serve humanity as a whole.  The idea that Uranus rules Aquarius, whether it works within a chart or not, whether in some larger unknowable sense it is true or not; has still affected the consciousness of all Aquarians, and those around them who are interested in astrology.  The Uranus rulership is internalized by many Aquarians, thus shifting the energy of Aquarius in general, and our collective understanding of it.
This in some ways has created a destabilizing effect felt throughout society over the past century, and yet, there is always a balance.  The Sea-Goat is there, entirely contained within the sign of Aquarius, to bring back the old tradition of Saturn rulership within the sign.  Let the Sea-Goat swim within the frigid waters of the Bearer.  He'll be something else entirely by the time he gets to swim with the twin fishes as the ice starts to melt.
