Digging Yourself Out of the Snow: A Tale of Literal Astro-Weather

The GAUNTLET! |
I live in the frigid and frosty North. We had a heck of a winter this year, especially since the Lion started spitting an endless stream of snow out of its roaring mouth this March. When's the lamb come? I'm ready for the ram's exalted solar rays to start clearing up this mess!
Luckily my son was home to help, and so, while stressing out, and now late to work, we look at the chart.
The first thing to note is that this entire event happened during Mars hour of Moon day, which is fitting enough, because I first looked to the IC to see the condition of the ground, in Scorpio, it is wet, ruled by Mars, in Cancer, not only wet but in fall, just as my tires fell off the well-worn track in the center. Mars is also important here, because a large amount of shovelling and muscles pushing was needed.
A note of interest is that the midheaven of this chart closely aligns with my own midheaven, and as the MC generally shows the purpose of the chart, the purpose was I had to get to work! The degree of the MC here is a little past my own MC, so a very literal representation of being late to work.
Myself in this chart, Mercury, is slowing down to station retrograde. Stuck, one might say. Mercury in Aries, well, there was some frustration and bubbling anger involved in this, mostly aimed at myself for letting the banks get this high.
In placidus, the car itself is also ruled by Mercury, but one can look to the next sign within a house if that significator in a chart is already in use, or as in whole sign, the car would be signified by Venus, which is already retrograde. In the end, after much attempting to go forwards and backwards, it was indeed reverse which was needed to get out of the mess. My son, Saturn in this chart, who's been working out a fair bit, is in trine with Mars, the muscles, in Mars hour, to eventually bit by bit be able to rock the car out of its inertia.
The Moon meanwhile, is trapped, in the twelfth house, how fitting. What caught my attention however, later on, while looking over the dgrees of which I've been writing about for a very large project I'll get to talking about here soon, I noticed that the Sabian symbol for the degree the Moon was upon - “An old sea captain rocking".
I share this little vignette as a reminder, that all things, in all times, are described by the chart of the moment in some small or large way. There is always a clue in the moments coming, and a way to use those clues to align with the moment in the most constructive way possible. I mean, I guess I don't need astrology to tell me to do a better job of clearing the damn snow you silly buffoon!
