The Official Facing North Patreon Page: Staring Straight into the IC.

 

   Well, the time has come to launch my Patreon page.  I've meditated upon this for a long time, planned, prepared, and waited some more for the right chart. 
  

    It isn't perfect, but that'll do pig, that'll do.  Note the Mercury Cazimi on the midheaven, which is my Solar Return Day, on Aldeberan.  Note the Moon in its place of the Earth's birth in the Thema Mundi, now also upon Sirius, as well as Jupiter's degree of exaltation, on Jupiter day.  I won't tell you about the personal challenges this chart saves for me, but there are always some of those, and things are feeling pretty good right now. 
   My intentions with this group is to foster a community of open minded lovers of the stars, who aren't restricted to any one system particularly, (or at least not interested in telling other people their system is wrong, as though one can colonize the stars with their own tradition.).  There will be casual courses, live hangs, and ongoing astrological support.  One of the key events of the first year of this page is that starting on the Summer Solstice I will be sharing my research into every degree of the Zodiac as the Sun highlights it.    Tier 1: for the Astro-Curious, will gain access to the daily degree posts, write-ups about every lunation, the courses, and some hangouts, as well as one horary question answered per month.  I personally think $10 horary questions are a steal, but what do I know?
   Tier 2:  Certified Star Gazer.  This tier will put your natal chart on file, and provide ongoing support for any questions you have about it.  It also allows for priority getting horary questions answered, (depending on time availability, not constrained to one per month). This tier and up also has voting rights on the future of what we do as a community. The first poll for the first course is live now, and will close when Mercury leaves Gemini.  You have some duality to wrestle with!  

   Tier 3:  Astro-Legal Retainer - of course comes with everything before as well as a full 2 hour Zoom call private reading per year.  Priority for questions answered over the previous two tiers.
   Tier 4:  The Magician's Apprentice - Well... we don't talk about Tier 4.  'Nuff said.

The Ascendant (or identity) of the Patreon - 12 Virgo:  To accomplish anything of great worth is an extremely unpleasant experience.  To make a beautiful bouquet of roses, one’s hands will bleed from the thorns.  The difficulties and pain inherent in any great work is a crucial component to growing the sort of character which can lead with solemn wisdom.  One who has not suffered cannot effectively mitigate the problems which will surface for others.  We live in an inherently dangerous world.  It behooves us to choose leaders who have seen the worst reality has to offer so that they may steer us down the narrow, but safe winding path.

The MC (the purpose) - 8 Gemini:   The Northern Eye of the Bull sees exactly that which it believes 

 must be done, and will drag along the rest of society if need be to plow that unsullied field.  

Facing north, visions of a new freedom arise.  The eye is the source of the water of the soul. 

 In the agony of tilling new ground, the eye may weep, and weep, until the bull drowns within the 

suffering of its own vision.  This it shall do gladly, in order to move forward those who follow, the 

Northern Eye will aim upon a light far distant emanating from the sky, and martyr itself if need be in the furrows.
(Note that I did not use these degrees to select the angles of this chart, but checked on them as 

confirmation of my own gnosis about it, the fact that I wrote Facing North in this degree was a pretty 

powerful confirmation for me.)

The Descendant (how it will be received, the other people) - 12 Pisces:   The fresh water regenerates itself in a ceaseless cycle of evaporation and rain which is the cycle of Okeanos which encircles the world.  To align with this endlessly flowing river which pumps to the heart of the Earth; the veins of our glorious Mother; is to tap into the source of all wealth and abundance that is the very core of life.  As you breathe in this divine blessing, beware to share only with those who are courteous, while marshalling the strength to detach from those who are not. You blaze like a glorious firebird.  Use only pure fuel to light the way for the righteous, but do not shy away from incinerating that which is toxic. The ashes of the unworthy will be a testament left to future generations that they may rise from before drinking from the pure spring of creation you left unsullied by the poisoned corpses of the wicked.
(Kind of a powerful ward against those who don't belong here!)

The IC (or how I will feel about it, my inner world) - 8 Sagittarius: Even though one may be powerful, and aimed in a specific direction, there are always dangers that are beyond what one is prepared for.  When travelling in distant lands, one may come across the hospitality of strangers and feel uncertain how receptive to be.  Does accepting such help show one to be weak?  One should be grateful for being welcomed into a terrain they are unfamiliar with, and be eager to help where they have unique knowledge.  In this way, we are all enriched.  Even the great and strong need protection at times.  Be willing to accept it graciously.  

This has great resonance for me, I don't like asking for money, or running a business, but if I want to devote my life to the study of the stars, I need to make an income somehow, and shed the shackles of the day job.  You understand, thank you for your time!
